FDNY Fast Response Fireboat

Gulf Coast Air & Hydraulics is honored to be a part of this latest project for the New York City Fire Department. These Fire Boats will commemorate the lives of the 343 Fire fighter lost at the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001.

The Fireboats are High-performance Fire fighting vessels designed to suite the specific operational requirements of the FDNY, in the greater New York harbor.

The vessels are designed and being built to the most comprehensive specifications. GCAH has worked diligently with two of our manufacturing partners, Jastram Engineering and Baldor-Reliance, to meet these specifications. We are proud our Steering system design and Bow thruster system have been approved and are incorporated into the design of these vessels.

The New York City Fire Department or the Fire Department City of New York (FDNY) has the responsibility for protecting the citizens and property of New York City's five boroughs from fires and fire hazards, providing emergency medical services, technical rescue as well as providing first response to biological, chemical and radioactive hazards.
